Dan Noble

Dan Noble was born in Chicago but grew up in Aberdeen, South Dakota. After graduating from North Dakota State University in 1982 with a dual Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees in Architecture, he moved to Texas. Prior to his appointment as CEO in January 2014, Dan’s leadership as Global Director of Design significantly elevated the quality of the firm’s work and the reach of its influence. A Fellow of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and American College of Healthcare Architects, Dan is LEED certified and registered to practice in Texas, Florida, North Dakota, New Jersey, Alabama and South Dakota, as well as Ontario, British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Alberta. His projects have been honored by the Texas Society of Architects, Progressive Architecture, Architectural Record, Texas Architect and the Dallas Business Journal. A board member and former National President of the Academy on Architecture for Health (AAH), Dan is also a trustee for the Foundation for the AAH and national chairman of the AIA/AAH regional initiatives. He is a member of the Board of Regents of the American College of Healthcare Architects, Dallas Regional Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Dallas Inc. and Y Dallas. He is a past president of the Dallas Architecture Foundation and has served as design commissioner, editor and awards program chairman of AIA Dallas. Major Achievements Under Dan’s guidance, HKS has expanded its global reach; developed state-of-the-art research around the neuroscience of design’s impact on health and productivity; demonstrated profound impact in environmental conservation and sustainable design; worked in cities across the globe to improve urban design and resilience; donated design services and financial support to major charitable initiatives; and worked with other members of the design community to elevate the profession. HKS is ranked as one of the leading design firms in the world by BD World Architecture, Architectural Record, Architect, Building Design+Construction and Interior Design. Howard Altshuler

Howard brings more than 30 years of experience in accounting, audit and assurance, including more than two decades at a Big Four accounting firm. He has served as the lead client service partner to a number of public and private real estate companies ranging in size from $10 million to $13 billion in assets. Howard has experience with all major real estate classes, including office, multifamily, industrial, retail and hotels. Howard also has worked with property managers, land developers and construction companies. In addition to real estate operators and developers, Howard also has extensive experience working with funds, including real estate and other private equity funds, as well as with portfolio companies. He has assisted clients with fund formation, structuring, ongoing accounting and reporting. Howard has assisted clients with strategic operating and financial decisions regarding company formation, market analysis, tax structuring and planning, accounting systems, financing, investor relations, compliance and financial reporting. He has extensive experience working with REITs, partnerships and LLCs. He has also advised companies regarding SEC accounting and reporting standards, business combinations, valuation, consolidation, stock compensation, leasing and sales, internal controls, compliance and corporate governance. Howard also has international experience, having worked for four years in Shanghai, PRC, where he served multinational clients who invested in Chinese real estate. While there, he served as the lead partner for a United States IPO of a local Chinese real estate company. Howard is an active member and has held leadership roles in several industry organizations, including the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the Real Estate Council of Greater Fort Worth (REC of FW). He has served his community as a board member for the Dallas Mayor’s Committee for the Employment of People with Disabilities and the Arts District Friends, as well as a mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters in Irving. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from the University of Houston.

Terrence Maiden is widely recognized for his executive leadership and vision in the commercial real estate development industry. With nearly two decades of experience, Terrence has poured his energy, creativity and expertise into the development /project leasing of over two-million square feet of retail. As Executive Vice President of Development at Corinth Properties, he is at the forefront of implementing the growth strategy for the company, as a real estate owner and developer. Terrence’s most notable projects to date are Glen Oaks Crossings, The Canyon in Oak Cliff, Red Oak Crossings, and the redevelopment of Southwest Center Mall. Terrence Maiden began his real estate career with The Woodmont Company, spending several years project leasing and developing projects throughout Texas, New Mexico, Louisiana, and North Dakota. He subsequently worked within corporate real estate at two well recognized companies, Panda Restaurant Group (Panda Express) and Panera, LLC (Panera Bread/Paradise Bakery). During Terrence’s three-year tenure with Panda, he was the top producer, accounting for over 60 restaurant openings. Terrence was also the recipient for the 2004 Panda IMPACT Award, 2004 Most Store Openings Award, and 2005 Most Store Openings Award. At Panera Bread, Terrence served as the Director of Real Estate, responsible for managing Panera’s real estate development efforts and opening over 95 company/franchise cafes throughout the central United States, including 11 states. Terrence Maiden received a Bachelor of Science and Engineering degree from Texas Christian University, where he and his identical twin brother were standout football players for the Horned Frogs. He is actively involved in several professional and civic organizations in Dallas and Fort Worth, including Mayor Star Council, Coalition of African American Professionals and Organizations (Co-Chair), Real Estate Council (Board of Directors), Urban Land Institute, Texas Christian University National Board (Former Vice President – National Alumni Board), Texas Christian University Legacy Committee, International Council of Shopping Centers, Dallas Black Dance Theater (Board Member), and many more. In 2005, Terrence co-founded Two-Wins Foundation with twin brother Tim. Two- Wins Foundations is a non-profit organization that invests thousands of dollars within inner communities through educational and community revitalization programs. Terrence has been named to the distinguish list of D CEO Power Broker for seven consecutive years (2012-2017). In addition, he was awarded “Minority Business Leader of the Year” (Dallas Business Journal-2009), a finalist for “2011 One Man Dallas”, Dallas top executive under the age of forty (Dallas Business Journal- 2013), Tomorrow’s Leader – Texas (Real Estate Forum Magazine - 2014) . In 2014 Terrence was the recipient of the Thomas L. Houston Award for his community service and 40 under Forty by Dallas Business Journal. In 2015, he along with his identical twin brother were inducted in Texas Christian University‘s Hall of Fame. Both Terrence and Tim were recognized by WFAA (ABC News) and Cadillac for Shaping DFW. Terrence is also a featured writer for D Magazine’s CEO Real Estate Daily.

Jennifer Chandler is Managing Director, President of Bank America Dallas, and Head of Philanthropic Solutions for Bank of America. As President, Jennifer directs effective collaboration across multiple lines of business, advancing purposeful engagement with client priorities. Deeply committed to corporate stewardship, she serves on the Bank of America Foundation committee and promotes a culture of volunteerism and community support. As Head of Philanthropic Solutions, Jennifer oversees strategy development and advisory/consulting services for non-profit institutions, corporate and private foundations, and ultra-high-net-worth families. She directs a nationwide team that offers a suite of integrated capabilities, including Outsourced Chief Investment Office services, board governance and development, grant making, high-impact philanthropy, and fiduciary administration. She also fosters the effective use of cross-enterprise capabilities, resulting in a more unified and directed client experience. Jennifer joined Bank of America in 2001. She earned her B.A. in Government from the University of Texas at Austin in two and a half years and her M.B.A. from the University of Dallas, which honored her in 2018 as a College of Business Hall of Fame inductee. Born and raised in Dallas County, Jennifer is very active in the greater Dallas community. She is a Leadership Dallas 2011 alumni, Women’s Exchange Sue Haskoor honoree, and 2023 DCEO Corporate Leadership Excellence Award recipient. Jennifer is also a Dallas Business Journal “40 under 40” and Women in Business honoree. John Bailey

John Bailey is at the helm of ABJ’s vision and growth. Norman Alston

Norman Alston, FAIA, has more than 45 years of professional experience in architecture, planning, historic preservation and cultural resource management. After 10 years of doing what he refers to as “normal” architecture, he founded Norman Alston Architects and has focused his career on historic preservation, his true architectural passion. He has a lengthy career of demonstrating that our important older buildings can be readily reinvigorated to again contribute to the quality of life in our cities and towns, all while preserving our rich architectural heritage. His award-winning projects span across his beloved Texas. When he is not at work saving historic architecture, he is spending his free time saving historic architecture. Central to his engagement with South Dallas, Norman was a founding member of the board of Fair Park First, an emerging catalyst to the 24 South Dallas neighborhoods that surround Fair Park and beyond. Helping build the organization, he has simultaneously guided its preservation while working to position the park as a powerful asset for South Dallas. He currently serves as vice chair of the City of Dallas Urban Design Peer Review Panel and was twice appointed by City Council to the Dallas Landmark Commission. He also serves on the Texas Historical Commission’s Antiquities Advisory Board where he helps guide restoration and development of many of Texas’ most important historic sites and structures. He serves on the board of Preservation Dallas, the Dallas Architecture and Design Foundation, and is an active member of the American Institute of Architects. In 2019, Norman Alston was honored to be elevated to the AIA’s College of Fellows in recognition of outstanding achievement in his specialty of historic preservation. A 1978 graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Norman grew up in the Dallas area.
