Tom Burkert is the Director for Wood Partners’ western North Carolina and South Carolina development operations and is located in the Charlotte office. He is responsible for the development, design and financing of multifamily construction in the region.

Prior to joining Wood Partners, Burkert was responsible for multifamily development as the Vice President of Development for Alliance Residential in their Washington D.C. office. Before he joined Alliance, Burkert was a Senior Development Analyst at The JBG Companies in Washington D.C. and worked on the development of mixed-use, multifamily, commercial, hospitality and retail assets.

Burkert received an MBA from University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School in 2012 with a concentration in Real Estate and Entrepreneurship. He graduated from University of Virginia with a bachelor’s degree in Economics.

Jared is a Vice President and Division Manager with responsibility for Swinerton’s Southeast operation with offices in Charlotte, Atlanta, Greenville, and Raleigh. Swinerton is an ENR Top 20 National General Contractor serving Multifamily, Hospitality, Healthcare, Education, Aviation, Office, Corporate Interiors, and Renewable Energy markets with 19 offices across the US. Jared relocated to Charlotte from Swinerton’s Denver, Colorado office two years ago to lead the operation in the Southeast and significantly increase Swinerton’s capacity to serve clients in the region. Jared is highly motivated and driven to form and maintain partnerships, working in collaboration with groups to leverage a transparent process, new technology and progressive delivery systems to achieve project success. He is passionate about culture and building high performing teams, and supporting them to reach their full potential. Jared holds a bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from Bowling Green State University in Ohio.

Mr. Fetter joined Faison’s multi-family development team in 2012 and is responsible for project management, financial underwriting and market feasibility analysis. Mr. Fetter brings over 17 years of commercial real estate development, acquisition/disposition, and asset management experience. In addition to his work in residential projects, Mr. Fetter has experience in multiple asset classes including self-storage, retail, industrial distribution, and mixed-use waterfront development.

Mr. Fetter received his BA from The University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill in 1988. He earned his Master’s in Business Administration from The Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1996. Mr. Fetter is a member of the Urban Land Institute and the National Multifamily Housing Council. He is active with Christ Episcopal Church in Charlotte and is a board member of Myers Park Trinity Little League.

Donald Santos is responsible for managing the development process and sourcing new investment opportunities in the Carolinas, which includes site selection, negotiating land purchases for development, capitalization, managing the entitlement, design and construction process, and overseeing the leasing and disposition for each asset. Mr. Santos has been involved in the real estate industry since 2003, starting his career in real estate finance where he was directly involved in over $2 billion in transactions before transitioning to development. As a principal, he has developed nearly 3,100 multifamily and senior living units representing over $500 million in total capitalization across the Carolina’s, Georgia, Tennessee, and Florida. Mr. Santos graduated with honors from Wofford College with a BA in Finance and also earned an MBA as a Dean’s Fellow with concentrations in Real Estate and Corporate Finance from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

With over 18 years of commercial real estate experience, Michael has been responsible for leading over

$2.0 billion of multifamily and mixed-use investments throughout the southeastern U.S.

Since joining Crescent Communities in 2013, Michael has led the predevelopment and entitlement of 20+

multifamily and mixed-use communities totaling over 7,000 residential units and 200,000 SF of retail.

Michael and his team are currently responsible for sourcing and executing Crescent’s multifamily investment

portfolio throughout the Carolinas and Tennessee.

Prior to joining Crescent, Michael served as the Vice President of Development for Aimco, a national

apartment REIT, where he led the Company’s multifamily redevelopment platform throughout the

southeastern U.S.

Michael graduated from the University of Richmond with a degree in Business Administration and holds an

MBA from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Active in the community and industry, Michael sits on the Board of Directors of the Greater Charlotte

Apartment Association and Classroom Central, a Charlotte based NPO supplying students and teachers

with over $6.5MM of free school supplies annually. Michael is also a member of the Urban Land Institute

and National Multi Housing Council and volunteers his time regularly with Habitat Charlotte.

Michael currently lives in Charlotte, North Carolina with his wife Summer and their four-year old son,

Jackson.

Darryl J. Hemminger is Senior Vice President of ZOM Carolinas, LLC, a regional division of ZOM Living.

Darryl joined ZOM in 1999 and served the company for 8 years. During that tenure, he developed a

variety of projects including garden style and high-rise apartments, a boutique resort hotel, historic

preservation projects and mixed use urban infill developments. In 2015 Darryl re-joined ZOM, where he

is responsible for all of the company’s development activities throughout the Carolina Region.

Prior to re-joining ZOM, Darryl owned and operated Hemminger Development Inc., a luxury single family

home building / development company. Darryl also served as a Vice President for Crosland

Development where he was responsible for all multi-family development activities of their Raleigh, NC

office. Additionally, Darryl has served as Senior Vice President for Laurel Street Residential, a boutique

affordable housing development firm of which he was a founding member and helped to establish as

one of the Carolina regions most respected affordable development firms.

Darryl has a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration from the University of Florida.

Founding partner Lacy Rice has 38 years of experience in real estate and corporate finance. Prior to co-founding FCP, Mr. Rice was a Principal at The Carlyle Group, where he and Esko Korhonen helped raise and invest Carlyle’s first real estate private equity fund ($457 million). Mr. Rice also served on the fund’s Investment Committee. Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Rice was a member of the Investment Banking Group at Alex. Brown & Sons, where he was involved in $2.5 billion of real estate M&A and underwriting transactions. Mr. Rice also developed residential communities as a Principal at Haas & Hayne Corporation and structured and closed loans, private placements, and interest rate swaps as a Corporate Account Officer at Chemical Bank. Mr. Rice serves on the boards of United Bankshares, Inc. (NASDQ: USBI) and The Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Washington. He has served as Board Chairperson of American Community Properties Trust (NYSE AMEX: APO) and as a member of; the Shepherd University Board of Governors, the WV Economic Development Authority Board, the BB&T D.C. Advisory Board, and the Mercersburg Academy Alumni Council. Mr. Rice received a Masters of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Princeton University.

As CEO of Dominion Realty Partners, LLC Andy oversees development, acquisitions, strategic planning, construction and financing of eco-friendly commercial and residential projects throughout North Carolina, Virginia and South Carolina. Prior to creating Dominion Realty Partners, Andy joined Daniel Corporation in 1987 and served as Senior Vice-President while overseeing the Southeast and Mid Atlantic regions for that company.

Over the past ten years, Dominion Realty Partners, LLC has developed and acquired over two billion dollars worth of commercial office buildings, multi-family communities, high-rise condominium projects and mixed-use developments throughout the Southeast region.

Before entering the real estate field, Andy played on the World Professional Tennis Tour (ATP) for five years. Andy won over nineteen professional titles and reached the semifinals in doubles of the US Open and the doubles finals of the Australian Open. Andy is a graduate of Woodberry Forest School in Virginia and played collegiate tennis at North Carolina State University. His recent awards and designations include: Two-time All American and All ACC in Tennis at North Carolina State University, Two-time past President of Raleigh Racquet Club and five year Board Member, Member of North Carolina Tennis Hall of Fame, George Whitfield Hall of Fame inductee, Mary Milam Lifetime Tennis Achievement Award Winner, 2011 North Carolina Tennis Association President’s Award recipient, 2013 -2014 USTA National Board of Directors - Delegate at Large, USTA Southern section Delegate at Large, Secretary of the Board of Directors USTA Southern Section, USTA Junior Competition Committee member, USTA Varsity Collegiate Committee member, Chairman of NAIOP Urban Redevelopment Forum, Two-Time President of Triangle Area Office Building Association and Chairman of NC Tennis Association Capital Association Campaign. During the past seven years Andy has raised over $9,000,000 for tennis programs, facilities and opportunities for those less fortunate. Andy resides in Raleigh, North Carolina with his wife Carol and their children, Rhyne and Alex.

Lisa Taylor is senior managing director for client services, with responsibility for the company’s North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee portfolios consisting of 59,000 units totally 11.44B real estate. Lisa has extensive experience in property management, business development, portfolio management, property operations, and strategic positioning of conventional assets. Her expertise includes new construction, lease ups, acquisitions, renovations, repositions, and financially and physically stressed assets. Prior to joining Greystar in 2005, she held regional positions at Summit Properties and Trammell Crow Residential Services. Lisa is highly engaged in multifamily industry organizations. She has served on the Greater Charlotte Apartment Association board of directors in many roles, including president. She currently serves on the executive board of directors of the Apartment Association of North Carolina as Treasurer, serves on several committees at the National Apartment Association. Lisa is a Lex Marsh Award (Lifetime Achievement) recipient. She graduated from the American Business & Fashion Institute (now known as The Art Institute of Charlotte) in North Carolina. Lisa holds CPM®, CAM, and CAPS designations, as well as a North Carolina real estate broker’s license.

With more than a decade of experience in commercial real estate lending, Brett McGuire, senior vice president, is responsible for nationwide loan origination, based out of Walker & Dunlop’s office in Charlotte, NC. Mr. McGuire specializes in the origination of multifamily loans through Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA and Walker & Dunlop’s proprietary bridge loan execution. Mr. McGuire has significant experience structuring transactions for conventional multifamily housing, as well as dedicated student housing, manufactured housing and affordable housing.

Mr. McGuire joined Walker & Dunlop in 2003 in the Multifamily Finance underwriting department where he was responsible for underwriting over $800M in conventional and structured loan facility transactions. In 2007, Mr. McGuire joined the new loan origination group, and since that time, has been involved in over $1B of structured financings. Mr. McGuire was a loan officer at Wachovia Bank prior to joining Walker & Dunlop. Mr. McGuire is a Charlotte, NC native and graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Mr. McGuire has held the CCIM designation since 2007.

Neil Beldock has over 30 years of experience as a real estate finance professional. Over those 30+ years Neil has held positions at Citigroup, Coast Federal Bank of California, Independence Bank of Los Angeles, Family Savings Bank of Los Angeles, Hamburg Savings Bank of New York, Interbay Funding and Velocity Commercial Capital. Neil has held executive and senior level management positions covering loan originations, loan operations, loan servicing, secondary marketing, loan securitization and joint venture operations. Neil is also a published author having written articles for numerous mortgage industry publications including the Scotsman Guide, Commercial Mortgage Insight, The Mortgage Press and National Mortgage Broker Magazine. Currently, Neil serves as a Senior Executive at Pender Capital Funding in Dallas, Texas.

Ron Rossi serves as the VP of Analytics for Investor Management Services (IMS). Ron has over 20 years of commercial real estate experience with a focus on CRE software over the last 6 years. Ron is responsible for delivering best in class analytics and reporting that enables clients of IMS to proactively manage their business and investments in the most efficient and proactive manner thereby increasing yields and minimizing risk.

IMS offers an Investor Management platform for CRE owners. We focus on creating investor transparency and engagement by providing dashboards, document dissemination, and a centralized location for new offerings. Additionally, IMS creates back office efficiencies through Waterfall Calculations, Distribution Automation, CRM, and Portfolio Valuation. IMS is the software leader built by CRE Sponsors for innovative CRE Sponsors.

Prior to joining IMS, Ron was the CEO of Fairview Real Estate Solutions (a QuietStream Financial portfolio company). The company built a web based technology solution, Fairview’s Trader Tool, for the CMBS industry that provided up to date analytics and underwriting across over 80,000 CMBS loans. This software was used by some of the largest and most active trading firms on Wall Street.

Ron received his B.A. in Business Administration from the University of California at Irvine.
