Houston-based investor Hines has won planning permission for its 134K SF plans for Central Plaza, Dublin just days after securing consent for the 2.1M SF Cherrywood scheme in the south of the city.

Hines and its partner, Hong Kong-based Peterson Group, have been given the green light by An Bord Pleanála.

The scheme redevelops the former Central Bank HQ at Dame Street to provide 73K SF of new office floorspace.

The €75M development will include a rooftop restaurant along with 30K SF of new retail and leisure space.

An Bord Pleanála ruled on the case after an appeal against the scheme by a single local resident, The Journal reports. He was concerned that his Temple Bar roof garden would be overlooked.
