Comer Group, the County Kildare-based developer, has announced that masterplanning at their 17M SF Metro Park site near Dublin airport will begin this year.

The 210-acre site at Ballymun Interchange is one of the largest in Ireland, and is centred around the intersection of the proposed Metro North and Metro West routes and will be integrated into the proposed Metro interchange.

The masterplanning process is imminent, the Irish Times reports. This has already involved the Railway Procurement Agency, National Roads Authority, Dublin Airport Authority and Fingal County Council, said T.J. O'Connor & Associates, who are advising on the project. Preliminary design of the overpasses and underpasses of the Metro Lines, required to serve the proposed development, has been undertaken for agreement with the various stakeholders, they said.
