The Japanese auto manufacturer’s regional office is planning to relocate from the Chicago area to Coppell in early 2025, The Dallas Morning News reported. The building will be added alongside Subaru’s existing training and distribution facility in Prologis’ 110-acre Freeport Corporate Center.

The 200K SF addition will include space for sales and marketing, customer advocacy and regional distribution operations, according to the DMN.

The expansion will bring the company’s total footprint to 506K SF, making it the largest Subaru office in the U.S. next to its headquarters in Camden, New Jersey. It is expected to be complete by the end of this year, according to the DMN.

“We are excited to expand our footprint and capabilities in the southern U.S., further supporting our customers and retailer network,” Subaru of America Chief Operating Officer Jeff Walters said in a release. “Dallas is a vibrant area with diverse talent that will add fresh perspectives and further enhance our company culture.”

The decision to move Subaru’s central hub to Coppell is the latest in a wave of corporate relocations to Texas.

Nineteen companies moved to the Lone Star State last year, including Frontier Communications, which opted to ditch its Connecticut digs in favor of Uptown Dallas.
