Life Time Launches High-End Apartment Concept

Health club chain Life Time is running into the high-end multifamily segment with the launch of Life Time Living, a health-focused luxury residential experience that will be opening its first locations in Dallas, Las Vegas and Miami. Combined with Life Time Fitness and Life Time Work, these projects will now be Life Time Villages.

Life Time Living's first location in DFW will be in Midtown Dallas near Interstate 635 and the Valley View Mall revitalization project.

In this part of Dallas, Life Time is partnering with Beck Ventures to form Life Time Dallas Midtown, a 390-unit residential community attached to a 190K SF Life Time athletic club and a 50K SF shared workspace concept known as Life Time Work. Beck Ventures is already working on the revitalization of this area, which has served as home to the decaying Valley View Mall for many decades.

Miami-based developer NP International will be working with the health club on the Life Time Living at Coral Gables project: a 358-apartment unit community that will feature a 90K SF Life Time Athletic Club and a 25K SF Life Time Work location.

The high-end Life Time Living apartment brand also plans to open a 148-unit community in Henderson, Nevada, known as Life Time Living Green Valley, featuring a 200K SF fitness club.

Residents who join these communities will obtain direct access to high-end fitness facilities and coworking space.

Based in Chanhassen, Minnesota, Life Time already has 1.7 million members to market its upscale communities to, and the projects will appeal to millennials and younger generations who are searching for apartment sites with workstations and health concepts under one roof.

Every apartment will offer a Life Time Athletic Resort & Spa and a LifeCafe. Renters will have access to a variety of one- and two-bedroom apartments.

"Living an active, healthy and happy lifestyle is dependent upon many factors. Among them is the critical element of where we choose to live," Life Time founder, Chairman and CEO Bahram Akradi said in a press statement. "By integrating where we live, work and play in these Life Time Village developments, we're creating far more time efficiency for members in their day-to-day lives while also having a positive impact on our planet. The design truly is a natural extension of our mission to inspire people to live completely healthy, happy lives.”
