Fledgling Data Center Company Has Designs On 33 Acres In Richardson

EdgeCore Internet Real Estate, a data center company recently started by Mount Elbert Capital Partners, GIC and OPTrust to build a national portfolio of data centers, is planning for one of its first projects to land in Richardson.

The company is seeking zoning for a project on 33 acres in Richardson at the northeast corner of Shiloh Road and Research Drive, according to the Dallas Morning News.

EdgeCore said it plans to enter six markets, including North Texas to put together a portfolio worth $2B. The company started with $800M in equity.

No groundbreaking date has been set yet as the company is waiting on approval from the city.
