Holidays bring out the generosity (even for the Grinch and Scrooge) in people and companies. TIG Real Estate Services teamed up with the good folks at the North Texas Food Bank. When TIG was there on Dec. 11, more than 25,000 pallets of food were sorted for the food bank.

Colliers International prez David Pinsel (far right) announced Colliers' 2014 charity: Dallas Children's Advocacy Center. DCAC chief development officer Chris Culack (far left) and prez/CEO Lynn Davis (center) were on hand to hear the news at Colliers annual holiday shindig. We also hear that some of the Colliers staffers showed off talents beyond the deals; Beth Burke, Kacie Conkey, and Ward Richmond all performed a few songs with David even joining the act. (We hear the camera ran out of juice before a photo could be snapped, but we suspect David paid someone off.) The event raised $1,000 for Promise House (the 2013 charity).

Since 2011, UCR's Dallas office has skipped the annual holiday party and allocated those funds to help families at Genesis Women's Shelter and The Family Place. This year, UCR turned its holiday giving event into a family affair, inviting spouses and children of the employees to join. UCR employees and their families broke into teams and spent a half-day shopping and wrapping gifts to provide for families at local charities. Here's Team Vixen: Carter Butler, Scott Weaver, Rebecca Smolik, Thurston Witt, Jessica Donnelli, Adam Howells, and Al Von Stein. This year, UCR donated gifts, clothing and basic household items for women and children at nine charities in Dallas, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio.
