2-Minute Rebuttal: Shopping Malls

Perhaps this group got wind of Joe's remarks; they're plotting good things for malls. Circle Realty Advisors gathered friends at the Rosewood Restaurant in Rosemont yesterday  to talk trends. McCollom Realty Ltd.'s Terry McCollom, Circle Realty Advisors'Alissa Helgesen,  and JanMar Realty Partners' Michael Nemlich are hoping shopping centers will gain ground next year. The last four months of '08 and the first four of '09 brought no deals for Terry, but business has picked up since, as cities look to fill empty boxes. Alissa worries about increasing costs of construction materials as companies who manufacture or distribute them downsize. Michael says he's seen success in small neighborhood shopping centers in infill areas.
