The Shops at Kenilworth is adding four new stores this month, including Trader Joe's, and a fifth in April.
The Towson mall is undergoing a $20M interior and exterior renovation designed to give the center a more contemporary look. Kenilworth Wine and Spirits, whose owners operate similar stores at the Shops at Quarry Lake and Foundry Row, will open a 5k SF store Friday, Greenberg Gibbons president Tom Fitzpatrick said.
Trader Joe's is moving its Towson Circle store to a 17k SF space March 17, joining surfing gear and accessories store Quiet Storm. ZenLife Yoga Boutique and Juice Bar will open a 2,680 SF store March 5. Harbor East jewelry store Amaryllis will open its second location at Kenilworth April 1.
Exterior and interior renovations on the mall will continue through Labor Day and will include new lighting, painting, tiles, fountain and escalator.
"It will be very transformational," Fitzpatrick said.
After unveiling a new domed main entrance in November, the developer is refurbishing the entrance on the east side of the mall. Current stores include Stebbins Anderson, About Faces Day Spa & Salon, Lax World and South Moon Under.
