Bob Voyles' firm, Seven Oaks Co., is merging with Partners, according to a press release.

Seven Oaks Co. prinicipals Voyles, Randy Holmes and Andrew Pearson have been named equity partners with the firm and are tasked with growing its commercial development business across the Southeast. Seven Oaks Co. principal Schroder Voyles also joins Partners as senior vice president.

With the merger, Partners gains Seven Oaks’ investment and development management platform.

It is another big move in Atlanta for Houston-based Partners, which entered the Atlanta market just last year. Upon opening its local office, Partners tapped former Cushman & Wakefield capital markets president John O’Neill to launch the firm’s operations in the city. Partners then quickly hired several experienced local commercial real estate players.

Voyles is a former Hines senior vice president who spearheaded the development of 1180 Peachtree, the 41-story Midtown tower completed in 2006. Most recently, Voyles led the development of Chamblee International Logistics Center, a 238K SF warehouse in Chamblee.

Seven Oaks also completed the $10M redevelopment of a warehouse at 2135 American Industrial Way into a 36K SF creative office destination. In addition, the firm developed the Perimeter Summit mixed-use complex that lords over Interstate 285 in Central Perimeter.

In the press release, Voyles said the merger marks an exciting new chapter for the executive team that led Seven Oaks.

“We have known John O’Neill and many of his senior partners over the course of our careers, and once approached, we each quickly realized how our respective teams complement each other in terms of skill sets, practice disciplines, and most importantly, a strong common work ethic and company culture,” Voyles said.

Voyles didn't respond to messages seeking comment.

Partners also bought Seven Oaks’ management team, led by Chris Breeden, to grow Partners’ property management business for office and industrial buildings. Seven Oaks controls the property management for the Westside Collective, a 365K SF, single-story adaptive reuse office complex in West Midtown, and manages Pergament Properties’ five-building, 200K SF Atlanta portfolio.
