Loudermilk On Hotel: First I've Ever Seen Of It

Remember this image of what could sprout at a prime Buckhead Village corner? Well, according to the man who owns that very plot of land, that's not happening. In fact, he was just as shocked as the rest of us when he saw the Curbed story. “That was the first I've ever seen of it,” Loudermilk Cos' Robin Loudermilk tells us, echoing what he responded to BuckheadView yesterday. And to make matters even more complicated, part of that triangular strip of land—the Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams part—is owned by someone else, Robin says. “That thing looks like a spaceship. I don't think that would ever get through the DRC,” he quips.

Even though others have expressed interest in his site, Robin tells us Loudermilk Cos is sticking to its guns with plans for a multifamily project—either for-rent or condominium—with street-level retail. “We are working diligently right now on a multifamily development,” he says.
