Simon Ziff serves as president of Ackman-Ziff, a position he assumed in 1995. Since joining the firm as an

Analyst in 1989, Simon has overseen the arrangement of 100+ billion of debt, mezzanine, and equity

financings for some of the nation’s foremost real estate developers and owners while simultaneously

solidifying the firm’s relationships with key capital sources. He engineered the firm’s unique,

collaborative culture and directed AZ’s evolution as an industry thought leader with over 50

professionals.

Simon received a B.S. in Finance from The Pennsylvania State University and an M.S. in Real Estate

Finance from NYU. He has been recognized on multiple occasions by Penn State and NYU, as well as

being awarded REBNY’s first “Most Promising Commercial Salesperson” award, the “Most Ingenious

Deal of the Year” award six times and winning the prestigious Louis Smadbeck award.

Simon has also been active in many leadership roles for universities and not-for-profit

organizations. Simon has also been involved in teaching at University of Miami and NYU on families in

Real Estate.

Most recently, Simon has been lecturing at many undergraduate and graduate programs including a

course on Family Real Estate Business Management at NYU Schack.

Jay Mantz

President

Rialto Capital Management

Mr. Mantz joined Rialto Capital Management, LLC in 2011 and serves as President. Rialto

Capital Management, together with its affiliates, is an integrated real estate investment and

asset management company that invests and manages assets throughout the capital

structure in real estate properties, loans, and securities. As of March 2020, Rialto has $3.9B

of EUM and is the named special servicer on approximately $120B of commercial mortgage

loans.

Prior to Rialto, Mr. Mantz worked for Morgan Stanley from 1993 to 2011. At Morgan Stanley,

Mr. Mantz was the Head of Real Estate Investing from 2000 to 2005, co-head of the Real

Estate Department in 2006, and served as Global Co-Head of Morgan Stanley’s Merchant

Bank Group, which included the Morgan Stanley Real Estate Investing Funds, the Morgan

Stanley Infrastructure Fund and other Private Equity Funds from 2007 to 2009. Mr. Mantz

was selected to be a member of Morgan Stanley’s Management Committee in 2008.

Mr. Mantz graduated class valedictorian from the Questrom School of Business at Boston

University and received an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Mantz is on the Dean’s Advisory Board of the Questrom School of Business and a board

member of the Center for Real Estate and Finance at Cornell University.

Craig Solomon

Square Mile Capital

Craig H. Solomon is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Square Mile Capital and serves on its Board of Directors. Mr. Solomon is responsible for managing all aspects of Square Mile’s business and investment activities, and implementing Square Mile’s strategic objectives. Mr. Solomon served as Co-Managing Principal of Square Mile until June 2017. In addition to his role as Chief Executive Officer and Board Member, Mr. Solomon serves on the Investment Committees of all Square Mile funds. Prior to joining Square Mile, and prior to the formation of its first institutional fund, Mr. Solomon was the managing partner of Solomon and Weinberg LLP, a boutique law firm specializing in all areas of commercial real estate and finance which Mr. Solomon cofounded in 1990, and a founding principal of SWH Realty Corp., an active high yield real estate finance firm based in New York, and Platinum Funding Corp., an asset based specialty finance firm also based in New York. He has broad expertise in all facets of the real estate arena with particular expertise in joint ventures and partnerships, structured real estate finance, capital markets, distressed transactions, foreclosures, restructurings and real estate related bankruptcies. Mr. Solomon is a 1979 graduate of Lehigh University and a 1982 graduate of the George Washington University School of Law, where he was a member of the Law Review. He began his career at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison.

Kunle Shoyombo

Mr. Shoyombo is Chief Investment Officer of Basis where he oversees investment sourcing, loan origination, investment analysis, and investment management. Together with the President, Mr. Shoyombo develops and maintains Basis’ investment goals and strategies, capital raising initiatives, asset allocation, employee management and overall leadership. Mr. Shoyombo has over 24 years of experience in CRE finance, investments, loan origination and underwriting. Prior to joining Basis, Mr. Shoyombo served as Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer for the Capital Markets Lending Division of CW Capital. He was one of original four senior executives who established CW Capital’s lending platform, which originated, securitized and sold CRE loans totaling in excess of $6 billion. He served as member of CW Capital’s Investment Committee. Prior to joining CW Capital, Mr. Shoyombo held a senior position at GMAC Commercial Mortgage where he played an instrumental role within the company’s CRE loan origination and securitization group. While at GMACCM, Mr. Shoyombo was responsible for sourcing, underwriting and closing loans and investment transactions in excess of $4 billion, and also served as a member of the Investment Committee. Prior to GMACCM, Mr. Shoyombo held senior positions at Nomura Asset Capital, where he was responsible for originating, structuring, closing and securitizing fixed and floating rate loans in excess of $3 billion; Community Redevelopment Agency of Los Angeles; and Kenneth Michael and Company. Mr. Shoyombo earned an MBA in Finance with Honors from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA.
