Matthew Wassel is a Principal at Saxum Real Estate. Since joining Saxum in 2018, Matthew has overseen the firm’s leasing platform across all asset classes. Matthew is instrumental in developing investment strategies and managing project execution, risk mitigation, and asset management functions throughout the deal process.

Prior to joining Saxum, Matthew was a key member on a market leading leasing team at CBRE. While at CBRE, Matthew oversaw the marketing and leasing of over four million square feet of Class A office and mixed-use product valued at over $1B, representing institutional and locally-owned real estate funds. Matthew represented and served as an advisor for large corporate occupiers, including national strategic portfolio management and lease execution for Fortune 100 companies.

In his career, Matthew has transacted over $2B in leases ranging across various asset classes, including office, retail, industrial, and mixed-use.

Matthew is a graduate of Middlebury College with a B.S. in Psychology, minoring in Spanish.

Walt Zartman is Senior Vice President of Hillwood Urban, where he pursues

and overseas the implementation of landmark development

opportunities throughout the North Texas region.

Mr. Zartman is currently overseeing the development of Victory Commoms,

a 352,000 square foot, Class AA office tower in Victory Park. Other recent

projects include the Turtle Creek Office project, a consolidation of the Perot

Companies into a campus headquarters located in Uptown Dallas as well

as the iconic Perot Museum of Nature and Science, a 170,000 square foot,

$190 million project. The project opened ahead of schedule and under

budget, and has become one of North Texas’ most important entertainment

and educational attractions. Current developments in design are Class AA

office projects in Victory Park and Turtle Creek as well as a new

landmark skyscraper adjacent to Woodall Rodgers Freeway in Downtown

Dallas.

Prior to joining Hillwood Development, Mr. Zartman served as Vice

President, Investments & Development for Crescent Real Estate

Equities in both Houston and Dallas. At Crescent, Mr. Zartman was the

development officer responsible for 5 Houston Center, a 580,000 square foot

Class A office tower and the re-development and “re-branding” of The

Park Shops, a 290,000 square foot retail center in downtown Houston,

Texas. In addition, Mr. Zartman was the development officer in charge of a

250,000 square foot Class A office building in Las Vegas, Nevada as well as

the 590,000 square foot Ritz Carlton Hotel and Residences in Dallas, Texas.

Prior to joining Crescent, Mr. Zartman served as Vice President of

Development for Hines in Dallas, Texas. During his 14-year tenure with

Hines, Mr. Zartman was responsible for the development of more than

900,000 square feet of Class A office space (including Galleria North in

North Dallas and Computer Associates Plaza in Plano) and for the

acquisition of projects in the southwest region of the United States.

Mr. Zartman was also responsible for the day-to-day asset management

of a 2.3 million square foot office portfolio in Dallas, Texas and of

approximately 594,000 square feet of properties located in San Antonio and

Austin, Texas, as well as Albuquerque, New Mexico.

During his more than 32 year career, Mr. Zartman has been directly

responsible for the development and construction of more than 3.7 million

square feet, representing in excess of $1.1 billion in value.

Sandi Scott, CSM, CPM, a commercial real estate professional with more than 20 years of experience, is Senior Vice President and Director of Property Management for the Dallas-Fort Worth office of Weitzman. In D-FW, Scott is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of Weitzman's Dallas-Fort Worth commercial property portfolio. Scott's work with the company has also included training duties and management responsibility for a portfolio of retail centers in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Scott also has commercial real estate property management experience with Direct Development, where she oversaw the asset management and landlord representation functions for the company's portfolio of retail properties in the Dallas area. In addition, her management experience includes the management of more than 800,000 square feet for Transwestern Commercial Services.

Mary Gentile

As President of LandQwest Commercial Property Management, Mary is responsible for overseeing the company’s multi-state property management division, in addition to servicing third-party commercial accounts to include avenues on how to enhance an owner’s asset value, creation of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) manuals, tenant handbooks, and disaster recovery plans.

Two of Mary’s top key niches are strong organizational and communication skills. She’s known for raising the bar with new standards for real estate management and her “out of the box” thinking. With more than 24 years of experience in property management and marketing she has developed and refined how to quickly and efficiently deal with the day-to-day matters that arise.

Her professional experience and expertise has been achieved through some of the nation’s most respected names in commercial real estate, Simon Property Group and Cafaro Company.

At any given point, Mary oversees the daily operation of a portfolio of approximately 2,500,000 square feet of retail, office, medical, and industrial space throughout Southwest Florida, Tampa Bay, greater Orlando, and the Midwestern U.S. Activities include the supervision of accounting practices, property maintenance, risk management, capital improvements, contract negotiations, administration of budgets, CAM reconciliations, lease administration, tenant retention, and turnaround of distressed properties.

Over the years has participated in and/or overseen the:

• Construction of 5 New Shopping Centers

• Renovation (Complete Reface) of 20 Commercial Properties

• Renovation (Tenant Build-Outs) of over 40 Commercial Properties

• Assist Court-Appointed Receivers on 20+ Distressed Commercial Projects

Mary is a past President of the Real Estate Investment Society (REIS) in Southwest Florida. She is now serving on the Horizon Council as REIS Chair.

Ross Forman

Ross Forman is a Managing Director in BDO’s Corporate Real Estate Advisory Services

practice. He has over 25 years of experience in strategic corporate real estate portfolio

management and optimization. Ross brings a unique perspective to real estate strategy,

having held senior level positions within three Fortune 500 companies, as well as

leadership roles in leading consulting and service provider organizations. Ross is a

industry leader in bringing a balance of strategy development with practical tactical

execution of critical corporate real estate initiatives.

Ross has led numerous end-to-end large, transformational projects including developing

the overall real estate portfolio strategy, process and governance for a global bank

through the decision process of outsourcing real estate and facilities with oversite of

mobilization for 60 million square feet to a new service provider. He also led the

portfolio optimization and real estate strategy development project for a major

pharmaceutical and consumer packaged goods manufacturer, identifying in excess of

$40 million in real estate and facilities operating expense reductions. In addition, Ross

is known in the industry for his vast experience in leading end-to-end transaction

management engagements for all asset types, including manufacturing, distribution,

office, retail, call center, etc.

Prior to joining BDO, Ross was the Global Real Estate Strategy Lead for Accenture where

he provided consulting services focused on development of real estate and facilities

strategic plans, MSA/Contract audits, outsourcing strategies, operating models and

organization structure, portfolio optimization and technology enablement. Over the

course of his career, he has developed the real estate strategies for a variety of

organizations in numerous industries. Ross is a real estate industry thought leader

having published numerous whitepapers and POV’s

Hussain's passion for sales and commercial real estate can be traced back to his dad, a first generation immigrant from Afghanistan, who shared his interests of new developments in Dallas, TX with Hussain and a young age. After leaving Dallas, he moved to Fayetteville, AR to attend the University of Arkansas (Go Hogs!) where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Finance with a concentration in real estate. During his time at Arkansas, Hussain established himself as a co-founder of a wine accessory company and a 4.96 star Uber driver (we'd give him a 5). Outside of the office, Hussain cheers for the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Mavericks, Dallas Stars, and the Texas Rangers (incase you forgot where he was from). Most importantly, Hussain prides himself on being an investigator and organizer of engaging conversations, connecting with people from all backgrounds.
