Shai Fogel has been with Mindspace since 2016. He successfully launched MIndspace’s Warsaw location (as the first high-end co-working space in the country), followed by the launch of Mindspace’s U.S. locations in SF, D.C. and Philadelphia. Since January 2021, Shai has been acting as the General Manager in the US for Mindspace.

Formerly, Shai established the Israeli branch of Gaingels syndicate in Tel Aviv.

He was the Head of Business Development at Spartacs, establishing the business infrastructure of the company with 150 clients. Shai worked as a Business Development and Publisher Account Manager at IronSource. He was also Founder & CEO of TheFixer, an on-demand personal assistance service, where he established and managed an operation of more than 500 clients.

Shai received his B.A. in Social Sciences from Tel Aviv University.

Andrew Peng is an investor at Alpaca VC. Andrew joined the firm in 2020 and focuses on proptech, construction tech, gaming, and metaverse infrastructure. Prior to Alpaca, Andrew’s background spans traditional real estate private equity and development, tech and consumer investment banking, and municipal economic development consulting. Andrew previously worked in real estate private equity at a DC-based firm, where he helped close over $1B in large-scale multifamily, office, and mixed-use transactions.

Andrew holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School.

Andrew is recovering consultant turned serial entrepreneur, startup mentor and angel investor. He is currently in charge of the UrbanTech accelerator program. Andrew is also a contributing writer to Fortune, AlleyWatch, The 74 Million, et. al. Andrew began his career at Booz & Co consulting on strategy and operations for Fortune 100 clients. After a brief stint at Kaplan helping transition their traditional classroom test prep services into online products, he then joined Bunk1.com as COO/Head of Product where he spent eight years building it from scratch to the leading provider of web services to the summer camp industry. After being bought out of Bunk1 in 2008, Andrew managed a family office where he was responsible for both incubating new ventures and for managing over $50M of alternative assets including hedge, private equity, and venture capital funds as well as a number of direct investments in private companies. Andrew was also the founding CEO of Layercake.com and has a keen appreciation for how hard it is to build a successful startup, even under the best of circumstances. Andrew received his MBA in Operations & Marketing from Chicago Booth (Beta Gamma Sigma) and a BA in Economics & Political Science from Johns Hopkins University (Phi Beta Kappa). He speaks Hebrew fluently as well as some Spanish, French & Japanese and is working on JavaScript. He currently lives on the Upper West Side of NYC with his wife and 3 daughters.

John Dean Markunas is a real estate industry blockchain advisor, strategist and business development consultant. He is the Principal Consultant with Power of Chain Global Consultancy LLC.

Mr. Markunas’ work covers several distinct real estate sectors; property title insurance, transactional, cryptocurrency use, tokenization and land registry. He has been advising blockchain and real estate startups since 2017.

Mr. Markunas is a prominent public speaker on blockchain use in the real estate industry, author of several articles covering a variety of topics on blockchain and its impact on real estate industry processes.

He has over 25 years in the commercial real estate industry and has lived and worked in Mexico and Brazil as a real estate industry consultant, broker and appraiser.
