The Future of Office Design and Development

Krysta Herring, Vice President of Asset Management & Leasing, at Corporate Office Properties Trust (COPT) [NYSE: OFC], an office real estate investment trust that specializes in owning and developing properties in strategic/ mission-critical locations, is responsible for providing leadership, oversight and strategic direction to the asset management and leasing functions for ground up office developments, redevelopments and the repositioning of existing assets. She is responsible for generating and maintaining revenue for a 4.9 million square foot portfolio of office buildings in Maryland.

As President and Chief Operating Officer, Americas, Shyam Gidumal oversees operations, sales, marketing, and community functions for WeWork. Shyam is an experienced executive, board member, institutional investor and advisor with deep expertise in transforming mature and start-up companies across many industries, including the consumer and digital worlds. Shyam has worked closely with and as a part of private equity firms for the past 20 years as an Operating Partner and GP.

Anthony Markese has design leadership expertise on prominent projects around the world for a broad range of corporate, higher education, institutional and commercial clients. He has led the design of a variety of prominent projects, including 145 Broadway, Akamai’s new headquarters in Cambridge, Massachusetts; 2+U, a mixed-use office towers in Downtown Seattle, Washington; the ExxonMobil Office Complex in Houston; Texas the ATCO Campus in Calgary, Alberta; 900 New York Avenue in Washington DC; 300 North Lasalle and River Point, both in downtown Chicago, Illinois and the CalPERS Headquarters Complex in Sacramento, California. Prior to Pickard Chilton, he was Associate and Design Team Leader with Cesar Pelli & Associates, where he collaborated on the design of the award-winning Terminal at the Reagan Washington National Airport; JP Morgan Chase on San Francisco, Rock Biomedical Research Laboratory at the University of California, San Francisco, as well as several projects for Duke University, including the Athletic Precinct Master Plan, the Wilson Student Recreation Center, and Schwartz/Butters Hall.

Mark is Tate Access Floors’ Commercial Sales Director, LEED AP, and graduate from Ohio State University holding a BA degree in Architecture. Combined with 36 years of access floor industry experience, Mark is a reputable source of experience and knowledge incorporating access floors within the built environment including benefits, challenges and forward thinking ideas.
