Matt has 20 years of experience in telecom engineering, critical infrastructure acquisition, corporate banking, management consulting, and commercial negotiations. He spent the previous 12+ years at Google leading over $5B of global infrastructure acquisitions, and led data center site selection strategy, third-party data center leasing, utility interconnections, and land acquisitions across the Americas and Asia. While at Google, he recognized the need for a data center company that truly understood customer needs and founded Crane. Matt holds a B.S. from Georgetown University and an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis.

Mercy’s strategic sales, business development and finance experience spans the tech industry and is rooted in the venture and start-up culture of Silicon Valley. In her current role at Aligned, Mercy is responsible for strategic account growth with the major cloud providers and hyperscale community as well as evangelizing Aligned’s resource efficiency objectives and core sustainability values within the industry and Aligned’s leadership team. In addition, Mercy provides guidance to Aligned’s CSR and diversity initiatives.Prior to Aligned, Mercy spent 12 years pioneering new IoT, wireless and AI-enabled energy efficiency technologies for mission-critical, colocation and commercial real estate portfolios across North America, Europe and Asia. She currently serves as a Leader for IM Women, an industry group dedicated to increasing the number of women in technical infrastructure, and is an active Board Member for Natural Resources, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in San Francisco, CA.

Mercy began her career in technology investment banking with Deutsche Bank. She holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Urban and Regional Planning from the London School of Economics and Political Science as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Rhetoric and Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley.
