Sara Neff is a Partner and General Manager of Sustainability for Microsoft's Cloud Operations + Innovation team.

Prior to joining Microsoft, she was Head of Sustainability, Lendlease Americas, where she provided leadership and management oversight in developing, implementing and driving Lendlease's corporate sustainability framework in the Americas region.

Prior to that role, she served as Senior Vice President, Sustainability at Kilroy Realty Corporation. Under her leadership, Kilroy was recognized as a leader among publicly traded real estate companies on sustainability in the Americas by GRESB for seven of the last eight years as well as being recognized by NAREIT, and achieved carbon neutral operations at the end of 2020. She is a LEED Fellow and holds a BS from Stanford and an MBA from Columbia Business School.

Karen Mahrous is a Senior Vice President and the Head of ESG for Clarion Partners. She is the Chair of the Firm’s ESG Committee. Karen oversees the ESG team and the Firm’s global ESG strategy, including Net Zero, resilience, efficiency, diversity and health and wellness initiatives. She works with many groups across the Firm to enhance and execute Clarion’s ESG strategy. Prior to joining Clarion, Karen was with CodeGreen Solutions as Director of ESG and Decarbonization Programs. In her time with CodeGreen she oversaw corporate sustainability, ESG reporting, green and wellness building certifications, stakeholder engagement, greenhouse gas accounting and other work for many real estate organizations. She is a member of the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) North America Benchmark Committee, Urban Land Institute and Urban Green Council. She holds LEED AP and WELL AP accreditations. Karen holds an M.S. in Sustainability Management from Columbia University, and a B.A. in Ethnic Studies from UC San Diego.

Angela is a trained Ergonomist with nearly a decade of experience in workplace well-being including workplace design, human factors engineering and medical accommodations. Angela has worked with a diverse portfolio of global Fortune 500 clients.

Angela’s passion for human centered design fuels her work as the Global Market Development Sector lead at IWBI. She spends most of her time educating senior stakeholders who understand that human health has a profound impact on key performance indicators – including productivity, engagement, and retention. She also helps organizations discover the best place to begin their WELL journey to leverage WELL strategies supporting ESG/ GRESB / UN SDG’s and overall Human Capital reporting goals at scale.

In her free time, she enjoys exploring her new home state of Colorado. Hiking, trail running, or skiing help Angela live into her healthy lifestyle goals year-round.

Angela holds a Master’s of Science in Human Environment Relations from the Design and Environmental Analysis program at Cornell University and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Idaho in Psychology with a minor in Architecture. Angela is an Associate Ergonomics Professional (AEP) and a WELL Faculty™.

Abbey is passionate about driving progress and creating

the tools, processes, and protocols needed to effectively

implement a leading-edge Environmental, Sustainability, and

Governance (ESG) program for LPC West and our clients.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

At LPC West, Abbey Ehman is responsible for development management and sustainability practices

throughout the Greater Los Angeles region. Her background includes architecture, development, and

construction management, with a primary focus on efficient project delivery and the cost-effective

integration of sustainability measures. Abbey spearheads strategy and initiatives within LPC West’s

ESG Leadership Task Force; and she is championing the firm’s corporate social responsibility and

sustainability efforts.

Throughout her career, Abbey has managed the design and construction of high-profile projects

covering all asset types throughout Southern California. Some of her most notable projects include

the successful delivery of a $30-million retail development in Downtown Los Angeles, and the master

planning and entitlements of a 250-acre, mixed-use, healthy living community in Bakersfield. Her

work includes managing design teams, project costs, and schedule restraints to ensure all projects

are delivered on time and within budget.

Prior to joining LPC West, Abbey led Trammell Crow Company’s Sustainability Task Force to

implement platform-wide measurement and verification tools. She previously worked with the U.S.

Green Building Council to launch the LEED® Pilot Program. She also taught a graduate course on the

Affordable Integration of Sustainability Practices in Real Estate Development.
