Simon Ziff serves as president of Ackman-Ziff, a position he assumed in 1995. Since joining the firm as an

Analyst in 1989, Simon has overseen the arrangement of 100+ billion of debt, mezzanine, and equity

financings for some of the nation’s foremost real estate developers and owners while simultaneously

solidifying the firm’s relationships with key capital sources. He engineered the firm’s unique,

collaborative culture and directed AZ’s evolution as an industry thought leader with over 50

professionals.

Simon received a B.S. in Finance from The Pennsylvania State University and an M.S. in Real Estate

Finance from NYU. He has been recognized on multiple occasions by Penn State and NYU, as well as

being awarded REBNY’s first “Most Promising Commercial Salesperson” award, the “Most Ingenious

Deal of the Year” award six times and winning the prestigious Louis Smadbeck award.

Simon has also been active in many leadership roles for universities and not-for-profit

organizations. Simon has also been involved in teaching at University of Miami and NYU on families in

Real Estate.

Most recently, Simon has been lecturing at many undergraduate and graduate programs including a

course on Family Real Estate Business Management at NYU Schack.

Jonathan Roth

Mr. Roth, Co-Founder, brings 30 years of experience originating, structuring and servicing CRE investments. Previously, Mr. Roth served as President of Canyon Partners Real Estate LLC. During his 18-year tenure at Canyon, Mr. Roth was instrumental in the formation of several investment vehicles which collectively invested approximately $5.6 billion in over 200 transactions.

Prior to joining Canyon, Mr. Roth was a partner specializing in complex real estate transactions at the international law firm of Loeb & Loeb. Mr. Roth has served on multiple philanthropic boards and works with several leading medical institutions, including the USC Center for Applied Molecular Medicine, UCLA Medical Center and Cedars Sinai Hospital.

Mr. Roth currently sits on the Board of Governors for Cedars Sinai Hospital and the Advisory Board of the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, and the Board of Advisors for the Finance and Audit Committee of the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center Board. Mr. Roth holds a B.A. in English Literature from UCLA, and a J.D. from Loyola Law School.

Tony Fineman

Senior Managing Director, Head of Originations

Mr. Fineman has more than 20 years of experience in the commercial real estate

business. At ACORE, Mr. Fineman is responsible for originating, underwriting,

structuring and closing commercial real estate financing opportunities, and for managing

originations for the Eastern Region.

Prior to joining ACORE, Mr. Fineman was an Executive Vice President with Brickman

and a principal at Hillcrest Finance, where he was responsible for originating,

underwriting, structuring and closing equity and debt investment opportunities, and

financing new and existing equity investments. Prior to Brickman, Mr. Fineman held

various positions in commercial real estate finance including a senior role with

Wachovia Bank, where he managed, structured and closed more than $25 billion of

complex commercial real estate finance transactions often involving multiple lenders

and tranches of debt, and a role as a banker with Nomura Securities in the mid to late

1990s. In addition to his finance experience, Mr. Fineman has also spent a significant

amount of time on the equity side of the commercial real estate business where he was

involved in the development, ownership, management and operation of commercial real

estate, including in senior roles with Centres Inc. and Terranova Corporation, and in his

time with Brickman. Mr. Fineman began his career in commercial real estate as an

attorney representing institutional and private clients in a wide range of commercial real

estate transactions, including finance, acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, development

and land use. After college and prior to law school, Mr. Fineman spent several years at

IBM Corporation as a marketing representative.

Mr. Fineman received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University and a J.D.

from the University of Florida. Mr. Fineman serves on the board of enCourage Kids

Foundation. Mr. Fineman is married to Lori and they have two children, Mia and Rocky.

Perry Katz

Perry Katz serves as Executive Director for Affinius Capital. Perry is responsible for origination and deployment of capital across Affinius Capital’s credit initiatives including the sourcing, negotiating and structuring of loan transactions.

Prior to joining Affinius in 2018, Perry worked for US Bank where he worked on loan transactions.

Perry received his Bachelor’s degree in business administration and management from Northeastern University.

Mr. Stuart is a Managing Director in Ares Real Estate, where he focuses on U.S. real estate debt. Prior to joining Ares in 2025, Mr. Stuart was a Managing Director at Fortress Investment Group, where he focused on sourcing and originating commercial real estate opportunities. Previously, he was a Founding Partner of Garrison Investment Group as well as a Corporate Executive Officer of Shinsei Bank in Japan. In addition, Mr. Stuart was a Managing Director at Deutsche Bank and a Vice President at Goldman Sachs. Mr. Stuart is on the Board of the Mark Messier Foundation and the New York Police and Fire Widows' and Children's Benefit Fund. He holds a B.A. from Columbia College in English.

David Cappellini

David Cappellini (New York) joined KKR in 2021 and is a member of the Real Estate team, focused on commercial real estate lending. Prior to joining KKR, Mr. Cappellini was a member of the real estate team at The Blackstone Group in New York, where he was responsible for structuring and executing asset-level and portfolio-level financings for investments across all sector types and fund vehicles. Prior to Blackstone, Mr. Cappellini worked at Citigroup in the commercial real estate lending group focused on large loan originations for both CMBS and balance sheet executions. Mr. Cappellini received a B.A. in Politics from Bates College.

Patrick Crandall

Patrick Crandall is Senior Managing Director in the Debt Investment Group at Kennedy Wilson. He is responsible for the origination of commercial real estate financing nationwide, specifically overseeing origination of construction and bridge financing in the Eastern U.S. He has over 35 years of experience across multiple commercial real estate disciplines, including financing, acquisitions, brokerage, valuation, and asset management. He has been involved in more than $20 Billion in transactions in the US and abroad.

Prior to joining Kennedy Wilson, Crandall held executive positions with Pacific Western Bank, Sabal Financial Group, Cushman & Wakefield, CIBC, iStar, Fremont Investment & Loan and JE Robert Companies.

Mr. Crandall is a member of ULI (Placemaking Council and ULI LA Capital Markets Council), CREFC, NMHC, and has volunteered or served on boards of several non-profit organizations in LA County. He is a Southern California native and received a Bachelor of Arts from California State University, Fullerton.

Eugene Rozovsky is Senior Managing Director of Real Estate Debt Strategies and is responsible for overseeing and managing Lightstone’s debt platform. Prior to joining Lightstone, Eugene was Vice President of Acquisitions & Asset Management at Madison Realty Capital where he closed over $2 billion of investments across various asset classes and led the team responsible for all debt and equity investments, as well as asset management. Prior to Madison, Eugene worked on the investment team at Hudson Realty Capital, the investment research team at The Blackstone Group, and the M&A advisory team at TM Capital. Eugene received his Bachelor of Science in Finance & International Business from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University and his Master of Science in Real Estate Finance & Investment from New York University.

Paul Rahimian

Paul Rahimian manages a national debt fund that provides bridge and construction financing to real estate development projects throughout the country. He founded Parkview Financial in early 2009 and has since originated hundreds of commercial and residential loans, always plying his trademark, hands-on management style. He has been widely recognized as an industry pioneer as he was one of the first to offer complete integration of loan origination and servicing under one roof. Prior to becoming a lender, Paul was a third-generation real estate developer and general contractor. Between 1988 and 2009, he successfully completed over $350 million in commercial and residential projects. His vast expertise and knowledge in the construction and development industry has benefited both Parkview and its borrowers. Paul received his bachelor’s degree from UCLA in Business/Economics and his Juris Doctorate from USC.
