Paula Balmori is the Global Director of Security Design and Systems Integration for Brivo. With a specialization in architectural design and a passion for innovation, she has gained extensive experience worldwide, working in various capacities for architecture firms, the Spanish Embassy, the UN, as well as with security integrators, consulting companies and access control manufacturing. Her expertise has led to the development of a groundbreaking security design methodology, bridging the gap between security and design. Paula's contributions continue to shape the industry, setting higher standards for integrated security and design.

Natasha Awan is a Strategy Manager and AEC expert at Brivo with a diverse portfolio of experience driving and developing growth strategies, handling business workflow, and maintaining key client relationships within the AEC sector. Natasha has developed an outstanding track record of international project success and delivery.

Specialised in strategic business development, the supply chain, stakeholder collaboration, and product launch, Natasha has led major projects and cross-functional teams. She is well-versed in navigating high-risk situations using an innovative approach to analyzing growth strategies that lead to increasing company revenue. Natasha is a collaborative leader who can identify business strategies & technical solutions driven by the company, client, and commercial interests.

Neil Pennell is Head of Design Innovation & Property Solutions at Landsec, one of the UK’s

leading property companies. He is responsible for the design and development of innovative,

environmentally sustainable and technically excellent buildings.

Neil is a senior thought leader specialising in technical and innovative solutions for Landsec’s

current and future portfolio, acting as a trusted adviser to the senior executive team.

He is charged with providing strategic advice to the business on sustainable building design,

smart building technology and innovative procurement and construction processes to ensure

Landsec retains its leadership position in the real estate sector.

This involves a wide remit to drive innovation and the application of new technology,

including; Net Zero Carbon buildings, AI, advanced building analytics, Internet of Things, BIM,

P-DfMA, modern methods of construction, smart building and Prop Tech solutions.

Neil is an advocate of sustainable buildings, renewable energy technologies and intelligent

building design. His goal is to create amazing buildings for people; to live, work, shop and

enjoy their leisure time.

Neil sits on the Board of the British Council of Offices (BCO) and chairs the Technical Affairs

Committee which is responsible for producing the BCO’s industry leading technical

publications. He is also chair of the Buildings Clients Group, a director of the Better Buildings

Partnership and a member of the Construction Productivity Task Force.

Pooja Karia joined Get Living in January 2021 as Senior Portfolio Manager and became Head of Portfolio Strategy and Insight in 2022. In March 2024, she was promoted to Insight and Risk Director. She is responsible for risk management, delivering insight and strategic advice on Build-to-rent market and customers. Prior to this, Pooja held various positions within asset management team at iQ Student Accommodation for over 5 years. Pooja started her career in 2011 at a Hedge fund specialising in structured finance and real estate.

Pooja’s experience spans over 12 years in real estate industry with focus on Build-to-rent, student housing and commercial real estate in the UK. She has extensive experience in portfolio management, data analytics, strategy, business planning, market & customer insight.

Pooja holds Msc Finance from Bayes Business School, BA (Hons) Business Administration from University of East London and BA (Hons) Pharmacy from Mumbai University in India. She is a member of BPF Build-to-Rent Committee, ARL Operational Benchmarking Committee and Get Living ESG and Operating Committee.

Samantha Carlsson is Senior Sustainability Manager at Derwent London. She leads their Net Zero Carbon Pathway engaging with all aspects of the business to deliver on their 2030 commitment. She has a core interface with the development pipeline in setting their sustainability aspirations. Prior to joining Derwent London, Sam was a sustainability consultant, involved in delivering award-winning sustainable projects and has previously won the IEMA Future Sustainability Leader award.
