Andrew Spencer is the Group Supply Chain & Procurement Director for Galliford Try.

Appointed in 2023 as the functional head of procurement and supply chain professionals across

the business. Tasked with developing the business’s strategic approach to supply chain

management, supporting the development of a strong and aligned supply chain to enhance

delivery performance and supporting the business’s sustainable future growth plans.

Previous notable roles include working with HS2 delivering London Tunnels and supporting the

delivery of the supply chain collaboration hub. Also with National Highways, for the delivery of

A14 Integrated Delivery Team, Cambridge to Huntingdon Improvement Scheme.

A dedicated multi-award winning professional, and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of

Procurement & Supply with over 25 years of senior experience of working with some of the

construction industries largest clients, contractors and supply chain partners.

Andrew is a Programmes Manager with 30 years of event and project management experience, including leadership and management of staff teams to deliver conferences, exhibitions and major business events. Andrew comes from a strategic B2B marketing background and now manages several support programmes for the Supply Chain Sustainability School - an award-winning industry led initiative delivering world class collaboration to enable a sustainable built environment. The School works with its partners and members to provide training, education and learning across supply chains to improve understanding and performance on all aspects of sustainability.

Helen leads the Modern Slavery and Human Rights support services within Action Sustainability and is the organisation’s centre of knowledge in combating modern slavery. In 2018 she was named a Top 100 influencer in this space, and more recently, she was part of the technical authoring committee and panel for the new British Standard BS25700 – Organisational Responses to Modern Slavery. She now leads the UK drafting committee responsible for turning it into an ISO standard.

Nicky is a Partner within the Major Projects & Infrastructure sector at Gardiner & Theobald LLP. She supports clients to drive effective supply chain strategies and enhance supply chain visibility and resilience across the lifecycle of major projects. She is also actively involved in her clients' sustainability strategies and drives this in alignment to the relevant supply markets' capabilities. With a strong background in procurement, commercial and project delivery across both public and private sectors, she has delivered services to multiple high-profile projects and programmes across the infrastructure sector over the last 12 years. Her research on Social Value and Modern Slavery within the construction sector highlights the importance of comprehensive market engagement and supplier management to help UK clients achieve their sustainability goals and drive best practice through their supplier network.
