Last night at Kennedy Center Concert Hall, we saw Messiah, after mistakenly thinking it was the name of Kanye's latest album. Instead, it was a special performance of a piece by some young upstart named Handel.
We snapped Conductor Nathalie Stutzmann's debut leading the National Symphony Orchestra and University of Maryland Concert Choir. The audience continued the tradition of standing for the "Hallelujah Chorus."
During intermission we snapped SageWater's Scott Seel, Georgetown Hospital's Catherine Spaulding and Georgetown Medical School's Devin Gilhuly. Messiah will be performed tonight, Saturday and Sunday for a matinee.
