We went to the third annual Capital Ball Saturday at Mellon Auditorium.

We snapped Capital Ball co-founder Fern Murias with his parents Liz and Fernando Murias, Digital Global Systems CEO and chair of the Greater Washington Sports Alliance, which promotes SneakerBall.

Miss America’s Kara Fenton, who always works with the organization, is bookended by Miss DC Teresa Davis and Miss Maryland Jade Kenny. The Ball benefited Intsikelelo, which was founded by Chris and Nick Grava to help orphaned, HIV infected, homeless and abused children in South Africa, by making foster homes and childcare organizations sustainable.
