Yesterday we went to the White House Visitors Center for a special book signing by former White House Executive Pastry Chef Roland Mesnier.

The French-American pastry chef and culinary writer was responsible for all edible masterpieces, like the elaborate gingerbread homes, for the past 25 years, under administrations from Carter to Bush 43.

A Sweet World of White House Desserts delves into the culinary secrets of the first family's home, including how he would sneak President Reagan chocolate mousse when Nancy was out of town, and terrible family recipes they all asked him to prepare. The book is now available for purchase at the Visitors Center or online.
