Fashion Icon Meets Law Firm

Placeholder

Entertainment and fashion boutique firm Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp makes law fun—and fashionable. It hosted fashion icon Iris Apfel in conversation with Harold Koda (curator of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute) at the 3 West Club. Iris, who looks stunning at age 94, is photographed here with MSK partner Paul Montclare and fashion practice group co-chair Lauren Wachtler, who organized the event.

Iris is the star of this year's documentary Iris, about her life and career. She's also had an exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of her accessories and fashion—called Rara Avis: Selections from the Iris Apfel Collection—curated by Harold. The gallery where it was held has even been named in her honor. (Harold, above, is also behind well-attended exhibits including "Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty," an Armani retrospective at the Guggenheim, and the recent "China: Through the Looking Glass.") MSK's been doing legal work for fashion clients for more than 100 years.
