William Kilberg's Big Honor

Yes, that's Paul Ryan and RBG dropping in on the 2014 Torch of Learning Award Dinner at the Park Hyatt. But the man of the hour was Gibson Dunn's William Kilberg, taking home the top award. Bill, at right, is next to Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who's next to Bill's wife, Northern Virginia Technology Council CEO Bobbie Kilberg. Past winners of the Torch of Learning award include Nelson Rockefeller and Ronald Reagan.

Bill proudly holds the award, flanked by star Gibson Dunn litigator Ted Olson and Torch of Learning dinner chair Fred Malek. Bill, the most senior labor partner at Gibson Dunn, has previously headed the firm's DC office and served on its executive and management committees.
