The Fastest-Growing Tech Jobs State Is...

Texas. The Lone Star State increased 6% this year, adding 8,100 positions and employing over 143,000 tech workers, says a recent Dice report. The state is followed by Florida, North Carolina, and Oregon. (The DMV did not make the top 10.) Florida created nearly as many tech jobs (4,100) in the first six months of this year as the state did in all of last year. North Carolina tech companies are posting thousands of openings. Oregon is seeing a boost in startup funding with companies like Puppet Labs getting cash.
