The Zoning Commission unanimously approved the first phase of Cohen Cos’ 670-unit Anacostia River project Monday night, reports Urban Turf. This after the 2.9-acre site at 1333 M St SE already saw support from ANC 6B and the Office of Planning in December. While this first stage is just a 10-story, 218-unit residential building (GTM Architects rendering above), plans for the entire four-stage project include 670 total units in four towers, 10k SF of retail, 220 parking spaces, public waterfront green space, a dog park and a wildflower garden.
