Skin in the Game: The Donald Put $42M Into Post Office Hotel

Placeholder

Donald Trump (whom we snapped) is putting his money where his mouth is with his prominent DC hotel venture. The Trump International Hotel, under construction in the Old Post Office Pavilion, came with $42M of his personal money, a bold investment for a bold project. The hotel, a $200M repositioning of the historic clock tower building, is being built on a construction loan from Deutsche Bank and the newest Republican presidential candidate owns all of the equity, the Washington Post reports. Ivanka Trump, The Donald's daughter, is overseeing the project along with Trump SVP David Orowitz, who told us last month the hotel will deliver in summer 2016. Even if there are construction delays, the hotel, like every other in DC, will be ready and waiting for Inauguration Day in January 2017. [WaPo]
