Yorkdale Shopping Centre is Canada’s most productive mall, with sales of $1,650.85/SF in 2016. Vancouver’s Oakridge Shopping Centre ($1,537/SF) and CF Pacific Centre ($1,523/SF) rank second and third in a new report from Retail Council of Canada. CF Toronto Eaton Centre ($1,488/SF) placed fourth. Fourteen of Canada’s top 30 most productive malls are in the GTA, according to RCC, with six in the Vancouver area. Aspirational and luxury brands are taking more prominence in the nation’s top malls, RCC’s report found. Yorkdale has over 20 luxury boutiques, contributing 30% of the mall’s entire sales revenue.
