Cadillac Fairview is investing $77M in a redevelopment of CF Masonville Place in London, ON, modernizing the mall with interior upgrades while ushering in a roster of first-to-market retailers (like Zara) and enhanced dining options (such as Aroma Espresso Bar). The revamp—which Cadillac Fairview SVP Finley McEwen notes is the single largest reno of CF Masonville since its 1985 opening—will feature a two-level expansion into the former Sears, which occupied 127k SF, and new retailers including H&M, Sport Chek / Atmosphere, Hot Topic and The Disney Store. The mall recently welcomed Sephora, Ivivva, Lush and Saje.

Other retail, dining and entertainment offerings will be announced in coming months, CF says, along with additional investment in a redevelopment of the former Target space. Interior enhancements include a new centre court staircase and installation of Italian porcelain tile and stainless steel and glass guardrails throughout the centre. A building accessibility audit is being done in order to exceed requirements, CF says. Redevelopment work is underway, with access to CF Masonville’s 140 existing stores and services unimpeded, and expected to be completed by November.
