Mervyn Alphonso is Executive Vice President & Partner with Anchor Health Properties. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, he lends his acute understanding of the healthcare real estate sector across Anchor’s business platforms. With more than 20 years specializing in the healthcare real estate industry, he is involved in the firm's investments and development platforms, including leading acquisition transactions, as well as development projects and management engagements.

Offering significant knowledge of the healthcare sector, Mervyn’s depth of experience as an accomplished professional, includes acquisitions, development, financial feasibility, site selection and evaluation, and asset management.

His prior career experience includes six years as a Managing Director with NexCore Group as well as serving as a Director with Alvarez & Marsal and in addition, he spent time earlier in his career with Hammes Company.

He currently serves on Industry Advisory Board of the Virginia Tech Program in Real Estate and is also a member of the Association of Medical Facility Professionals (AMFP). In addition, he has previously served on the organizing and leadership committee of the BOMA International Medical Office Buildings and Healthcare Facilities conference.

Mervyn earned his Bachelor of Architecture from Virginia Tech and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.

architectural industry for15 years and has worked with clients such as MGH, Duke Health, UNC

Health, Kaiser Permanente, and UC Davis Health. Prior to entering the health sector, Jayne

worked on urban master plans in Brazil, Kuala Lumpur, and the UAE. Jayne received an M.B.A.

from the Kenan Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina and a Master of

Architecture from Harvard University.

career in healthcare facility planning, the final 22 years at Texas Children’s Hospital guiding the

development of over $2B of work and adding over 5M square feet. Jill is a licensed architect in

Texas and California and holds a certificate from the National Council of Architectural

Registration Boards (NCARB).

As Director of Real Estate Facilities, Steven Donnelly provides leadership in all

facets of real estate property management and lease administration for all

administrative facilities and ambulatory clinics.

In this role he supports and assists in implementing corporate real estate and

clinical facilities development strategies throughout Bexar County as University

Health continues its mission to serve the community.

Steven graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station with a

Bachelor of Environmental Design. He started his career in the design and

construction department working on capital projects for the World Trade Center

in Dallas. From there, he spent 9 years working with large construction

contractors building healthcare projects. Eventually, Steven joined a large real

estate company where he developed healthcare real estate and acted as Owner’s Representative for

healthcare projects ranging from medical office and outpatient facilities to large acute care hospitals. He

has dedicated his career to healthcare development working on over 2 million SF valued at of $1 billion

dollars.

Steven is currently a volunteer on the Architectural Review Committee for the Alamo Ranch

Communities. He started the Clays for Camps at Children’s Health that has raised over $1 million since it

started in 2013. Steven regularly speaks at healthcare real estate conferences and has been published

several times.

Steven moved to San Antonio in 2006. In 2014, he married his wife Valeska, and combined they

have seven children and one grandchild.

Beth has 20 years of experience within the architectural profession with emphasis on healthcare planning and design of projects ranging from master planning, renovation, expansion, and new construction. She has been with Page for 18 of those years, is a Principal and Regional Healthcare Director. Her project roles include development of client relations, facility strategic planning, programming, mentoring and leading architectural and consultant teams through the design and planning process. She is a graduate from Texas Tech University with a Masters of Architecture along with being a LEED Accredited Professional, Evidence Based Design Accredited Professional, and a member of the AIA American College of Healthcare Architects.

Throughout his career, Calvin has worked in a variety of markets, with a primary focus on healthcare construction. Trae is passionate about serving clients who strengthen the community. He is an experienced builder of healthcare, private and charter K-12, higher education, and cultural & performing arts facilities. Trae’s focus is serving clients in the Central Texas region from pre-construction through occupancy. He has 15 years of experience in the construction industry, with 12 of those years working with Linbeck Group, LLC. Trae started his career as a project engineer and is now a vice president leading a team in the Central Texas region. He has led major projects in the Austin and Houston markets, including serving MD Anderson for 6 years on a variety of projects - from valve replacements under a JOC agreement to 600,000 SF buildouts in Design-Build deliveries. In Austin, he has worked with specialized clients, including radio compounding pharmacies, as well as complex imaging equipment upgrades. Outside of work, Trae enjoys chasing around his two young daughters and tooling around town in his vintage Mercedes.

device industry to serve the members of BioMedSA and the

San Antonio biomedical industry at large.

Ms. Hanson has worked at the ground level and managed

others to accomplish all aspects of

medical device development, including: research, design,

quality, regulatory, manufacturing,

field service, clinical trials and supply chain. As an engineer,

she has designed products and

equipment resulting in 24 U.S. patents for a variety of medical technologies. As an executive, she has led companies to improve their operational performance, establish efficient processes, raise capital, while motivating peers and employees to achieve positive results. Ms. Hanson has

also founded a successful consulting company, Corvax Solutions, to assist companies and

entrepreneurs in the development of medical devices. Additionally, she has worked directly for

Southwest Research Institute, Motorola and Seno Medical, and worked with a multitude of

medical device companies and research institutions as a consultant.

Ms. Hanson holds a BSE in Mechanical Engineering from Arizona State University and a MS in

Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University. She and her family have called

San Antonio home for over 20 years.

With nearly 40 years of experience, Jose Rivera supports National and Global Life Science clients, Investors, and Developers with Capital Project Planning and Implementation Strategies. With a focus on the execution of new product development, scale-up, and manufacturing processes, Jose is an expert on Integrated Project Delivery for Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Validation (EPCV) Projects.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in both Mechanical, and Civil Engineering, as well as a Master of Arts in Construction Management. He is a Professional Engineer - BSCE and BSSE from the US Coast Guard Academy, BSME UPR and Master Engineering Management and Master in Process Controls & Automation. Kurt’s professional engineering career spans over 40 years. His expertise includes structural engineering design for Mission Critical Facilities such as Data Centers, Health Care Facilities such as Hospitals and Clinics and Life Sciences Facilities such as Biopharmaceutical Pilot Plants and Production Facilities around the United States and the World. His area of expertise is in designing buildings to be occupable after natural disasters including Tornados, Hurricanes and Earthquakes. He has been the structural engineer of record for conventional “fixed Base Buildings” ranging from 1-23 stories, “Base Isolated Buildings” ranging from 1-5 stories, and the retrofit and new construction of buildings incorporating Fluid Viscous Dampers ranging from 1-22 stories. He has published numerous papers on passive energy dissipation and presented the findings at various conventions in Boston, San Francisco and Milan.

For over 23 years as the Founding Principal at PARADIGM Structural Engineers, Kurt spends most of his time developing new leaders at PARADIGM and mentoring staff in Chicago and San Francisco.
