UK-based Turner & Townsend is deepening its Bay Area project management footprint through the acquisition of Los Gatos-based Trestle Construction Management.

The venture will be rebranded as Turner & Townsend Trestle and led by Trestle’s founder and current president, Dave Bell, Business Review USA reports. Dave will join the board of Turner & Townsend’s American division. He applauded the new management structure, saying a “combination of global best practice with in-depth regional insight is a powerful one.” Trestle will maintain an individual approach post-merger, he added.

Trestle has managed several large projects and ensured successful completion of others, including Apple’s new flagship store in Union Square.

Turner & Townsend started in Leeds, UK, in 1946 and has nearly 4,500 employees in 90 offices across 38 countries. The firm specializes in independent program, project and cost management of capital projects across the Real Estate and Development, Infrastructure and Energy and Natural Resources sectors.  [BRU]
