New Oakland Mixed-Use Project Could Boost Neighborhood

C&H Development is pitching a new mixed-use project in Oakland's Montclair neighborhood.

The firm wants to tear down the existing building at 2080 Mountain Blvd (which houses a rug store) and replace it with a 26k SF building with about 8k SF of ground-floor retail, 6k SF of office space and a 4k SF restaurant with a rooftop dining area, according to the San Francisco Business Times. Lowney Architecture designed the proposed building.

The developers are submitting formal applications to the city and hope to start construction in July. [SFBT]
