Waldorf Astoria is coming to San Francisco in about four years. The Waldorf (its iconic New York home shown above) will cover 21 floors of one of the city’s largest towers at the Transbay Hub on First and Mission.

China-based Oceanwide Holdings purchased the site after a duo of TMG Partners and Northwood Investors left the Transbay Hub in 2015, reports the San Francisco Business Times. Oceanwide plans a two-tower mixed-use development at the site. Upon completion, its towers will rise 610 feet and 910 feet, second only to Salesforce Tower.

Hospitality projects have attracted significant attention from developers in the past few years as San Francisco aims to become a global city. Pacific Eagle's Hans Galland previously told Bisnow his company's projects at the Transbay Hub and beyond cater to the growing traveling Millennial demographic that the city attracts. [SFBT]
