Student Housing For Drexel Foodies Underway

Work has started on Good Food Flats at 4030 Baring St in Philadelphia, a JV of Cross Properties and Drexel U. The student housing will have 44 units and 175 beds, and be geared toward students attending the school’s hospitality and sports management program.

As the name implies, it will include amenities for foodies, such as a food lab and a commercial kitchen (pictured), along with a pop-up restaurant and incubator space, the Philadelphia Business Journal reports. Students will also be able to grow herbs, vegetables and other plants on the roof and backyard area. The property will be completed in time for the fall '16 term. [PBJ]
