Bixby Moves to Creative Space—Its Own

Bixby Land Co has relocated its HQ to one of its own developments, taking 10k SF in the recently completed Avalon office building at 1501 Quail St in Newport Beach. Bixby Land CEO Bill Halford tells us that wasn't the plan at the beginning of the development, "but as it evolved, it became clear this was an ideal location for our company." Bill, right, is snapped with Allen Matkins partner Peter Roth and PMI Properties partner Jeff Palmer.

Bixby gutted the interior to convert the former single-user building into a multi-tenant project. Among other creative features, the design carved out the interior core of the building to create a second-floor outdoor deck, “The Loft.” One further distinction: raw space in the building recently was the site of Bisnow's OC Evolution of Office event.
