WDCEP Launching 'We DC' Awards, Seeking Nominations

The Washington DC Economic Partnership is giving out new awards for visionaries later this year, during the We DC annual meeting and economic showcase. One of the awards is in the real estate category, which will go to someone in development, construction, management or architecture who "has made a significant impact within the city." The winner must either live in the District or work at a DC-based firm. WDCEP is also accepting nominees in the technology and "creative economy" categories. Got someone you think should be recognized? You can nominate them here, but do it quickly: the deadline for submissions is Aug. 21. The We DC annual meeting is going to be held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center on Friday, Oct. 30.
