Alexandria residents can thank a REIT for a windfall of new after-hours parking spaces. Beginning July 7, Washington Real Estate Investment Trust's 750-space garage at its Braddock Place office building will be open to the public from 6pm to 10pm during the week, from 8am Saturdays to 2am Sundays, the Washington Business Journal reports. This is especially good news for Metro riders looking for a spot close to the Braddock Metro stop. Washington REIT generously did the same thing at its Silverline Center building in Tysons Corner, which is within walking distance of the Tysons Corner Metro. The cost to park will be $5. [WBJ]
