The Republic Square II office project near Union Station is not scheduled for completion until next summer, but Republic Properties is close to signing its first leases. Final negotiations are underway with the National Association of Counties and the National League of Cities to relocate from other buildings in the district. The leases would cover about 81k SF of the 200k SF building, according to the Washington Business Journal. Republic Square II features a 27k SF floor plate that can be broken down into smaller pieces to meet tenant demand. [WBJ]
