McKissack & McKissack Lands at 901 K

We're still a few months away from the first deliveries at CityCenter, but a few local tenants are already deciding to get close to the action. Architectural firm McKissack & McKissack just signed a 23k SF lease at Carr Properties' 901 K Street, a few blocks north of the new mega-development. West Lane & Schlager principal Gary Schlager (right), who repped the tenant with colleague Ganon Rich, tells us McKissack & McKissack loved being between CityCenter to the south and the Convention Center to the north, as well as 901 K's LEED Gold-certified status, since all the projects it works on as a firm must be LEED certified.

Gary says McKissack is actually taking less space than its current 33k SF layout at 1401 New York Ave but will be getting more efficient. Many of its employees spend time on site with clients, so "there was a reduced need for people" in the new digs, he says.
