The church you see above will soon be an 11-condo building. Mount Joy Baptist Church at 514 4th St SE and its adjacent townhome will both be turned into condominiums and be connected by an underground parking garage, according to the Washington Business Journal. Back in 2011, the Mount Joy congregation moved to Prince George's County and sold its building to Altus Realty Partners, which specializes in converting historic buildings. Altus has now applied for a construction permit for the conversion, four years after the sale. [WBJ]
