We can never get enough Peter Turchin in our day, so we later joined him and colleague Paul Amrich (left, who spoke at our very successful Breakfast & Schmooze yesterday) for a broker party at 280 Park Ave., where they're marketing space on behalf of owners Investcorp and Broadway Partners. Here, they flank Investcorp's Christopher Sameth, MKDA's John Giuseffi, and CB's Ivan Hillman. Paul tells us that MKDA is designing a pre-built on the 8k-SF 27th floor in the east tower and part of the 24th in the west tower. They say it’s a great opportunity for a smaller tenant to get its own private floor, a rarity on Park Avenue.
CB's Kerry Powers, Alissa Jacob, Chris Levinson, and James Ackerson. If you couldn't tell from James' slight tan, he just returned from a two-week trip to San Diego and Laguna Beach. He considered not coming back until he realized he had a mortgage to pay. Perhaps he could find a tenant for this space or other availabilities in the building, which includes 20k SF on the 21st floor and 6k SF on the 28th (both delivered demolished). Paul adds that the building is undergoing capital improvements, including cleaning the stone facade on the east tower and renovating common hallways in the west one.
