To begin our day, we stopped by the Society for Marketing Professional Services' program at the Penn Club, where Mark K. Morrison Associates' Mark Morrison, the NY Department of Design and Construction's Dino Ng, NY Metropolitan Transportation Council's Gerry Bogacz, and NYS DoT's Heather Sporn discussed federal stimulus, infrastructure projects, and urban landscape design. Even though projects are receiving fed money, it's not taking the place of spending, Heather notes, but it's freeing up of money for other projects. Job opportunities are available, Dino says, and the DDC is urging firms to team up.
