It's a showcase of Inwood's creative talent and a chance for building-owner Edison Properties to market to neighborhood residents. The 300k SF building mainly houses a Manhattan Mini Storage but has 150 to 1,200 SF blocks of office/studio space available, they tell us. Inwood did not have a defined office market, so Edison turned two floors into space to attract a variety of tenants. Tenants sign three-year leases with options after 90 days; the formula has already worked in two of its other storage facilities: 131 Varick and 55 Vandam. |

Sandra tells us that Inwood's burgeoning artist population lacks needed studio space and hasn't gotten much support from other arts organizations. This is NoMAA and Edison's second joint event to encourage residents to look at the space. |
