Blackstone Recruits Deutsche Bank's Jonathan Pollack

Deutsche Bank's former global head of commercial real estate, Jonathan Pollack, has hopped aboard Blackstone Group as a senior managing director in the firm's real estate division. Pollack joined DB in 1999 and began leading its global CMBS business in 2011, Commercial Observer reports.

In 2015, Pollack and his team turned heads when they served as the sole manager on a $1.3B acquisition loan to Ivanhoe Cambridge for the $2.2B purchase of 3 Bryant Park. That remains the largest single manager, single asset financing ever in New York City. Pollack has been one of Mortgage Observer's 50 most important people in commercial real estate finance for three years in a row. [CO]
