365 by Whole Foods Market opened last year in Silver Lake.

Now comes news that the county's second location will open this summer in Santa Monica, according to Curbed Los Angeles.

A former office park at the corner of Pico Boulevard and Cloverfield is being transformed for the new store, Santa Monica Next reports.

Other locations are also expected to open in North Hollywood at the corner of Lankershim Boulevard and Otsego Street and in Long Beach at Lakewood Boulevard and Carson Street, LAist reports.

Whole Foods is adding these stores despite recent struggles with same-store sales that have caused some store closures and scaling back of expansion plans. Jana Partners, which holds an 8.8% stake in the grocer, is pressuring Whole Foods to become more competitive and consider a possible sale.
