Competition For 2024 Olympics Heats Up

In LA's bid to woo the 2024 Olympics, the LA 2024 committee recently released more renderings of proposed venues across the city from the beach to DTLA.

UCLA's Pauley Pavilion would host wrestling, judo and the Paralympic sitting volleyball event.

The campus would also serve as the site of the Olympic Village, Curbed Los Angeles reports.

Members of the media would be housed at a media village at USC.

The Forum in Inglewood and the Rose Bowl in Pasadena would host gymnastics and soccer.

An evaluation committee from the International Olympic Committee is traveling to LA this week to more closely examine the bid.

The only other city LA is now competing against is Paris.
