Hollywood's Building Boom Gets a Boost from EB-5

A lot of eyes are focused on Hollywood, and not just at the local multiplex. From creative office buildings to multifamily projects, construction is booming, and that's why we're delighted to host Bisnow's The Future of Hollywood: A Development Blockbuster. It starts at 8am tomorrow at the W Hotel.

Opening remarks will be delivered by Homeier & Law partner Michael Homeier (left, with colleagues at the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta) and Polsinelli Law principal Mahsa Aliaskari. They'll discuss EB-5, the US visa program that puts immigrants on the fast track toward a green card in exchange for job-creating investments. It's fitting that our venue is the W—this was Michael's very first EB-5 project back in 2010: a $20M raise for the nightclub, restaurant and two bars. Since then, Homeier & Law has worked on close to 180 developments funded under the program, including the Courtyard/Residence Inn at LA Live.

Still, it seems as though more people know about the latest shocking elimination on Dancing With the Stars than a program that could provide the missing financial piece for real estate projects. That's why four firms composed of EB-5 experts—Homeier & Law, Polsinelli, Wright Johnson and NES Financial—have formed an alliance. Together, the four firms have raised billions in EB-5 financing. Want more? Join us tomorrow at the W, 6250 Hollywood Blvd, starting at 8am. Still time to sign up here.
