Carl Muhlstein Wears the JLL Crown

With more than 50 deals exceeding 1M SF and another 1M SF in consulting and capital market work, the team led by Carl Muhlstein was JLL's top-performing broker in LA for 2014. Carl deals with a lot of entertainment and new media tenants, which have been expanding in the area.

Perhaps Carl's most noteworthy deal was repping Kilroy Realty in relocating Viacom's MTV to Hollywood's Columbia Square from SaMo. JLL says the project is the first new office building to be built in the area in 20-plus years, and MTV is scheduled for move-in in 2016. The 180k SF lease was a major coup for the $420M, 685k SF mixed-use property on Sunset. We talked to John Kilroy about what he called the "most extraordinary, well-designed and collaborative campus in California, maybe in America."
